 |
| FortConsult's working environment can first and foremost be characterised as being very professional with numerous challenging and complex tasks of a highly technical character. |
| |
| Qualified sparring |
| As we have Scandinavia's biggest professional working environment concentrated on technical IT security and the majority of our IT security consultants have many years of experience, daily operations at FortConsult offer plenty of scope for the exchange of security experience and discussion of complicated technical issues with colleagues who are working in the same area as oneself. |
|
| |
| New recruits both with and without many years of experience in terms of security can acquire plenty of new knowledge about IT security or develop their existing knowledge in the area by becoming an integral part of our busy and enthusiastic team. |
| |
| Opportunity to study the subject in depth |
| Our customers are highly security-conscious and make exacting demands on us as their business partner with regard to technical IT security. As a result, the majority of our tasks require that we study technical issues in some depth, whilst at the same time retaining the general picture in order to ensure that we do not overlook anything. |
| |
| Time for research and further development |
| As many of our customers have entered into long-term agreements with us, we have plenty of opportunity to plan our work. In 2006 and 2007, for example, our so-called "utilisation of delivery capacity" was almost 100 percent. In addition to the supply of solutions, we spend part of our time doing research into new vulnerabilities and the further development of our working processes, test tools and vulnerability databases. This time is allotted beforehand so that we are able to ensure that our services are always up-to-date and we can live up to our goal of providing the market's highest quality within IT security. |
| |
| Attractive development opportunities |
| The further development of our employees and their qualifications is one of FortConsult's absolute top priorities due to the fact that we wish to employ Scandinavia's best IT security personnel both today and in the future. Since our success is dependent on having the best competences and the most comprehensive knowledge in terms of IT security, we draw up detailed education and training plans for both existing and new employees. |
|
| |
Individual education and training plans Every single employee is provided with an education and training plan which focuses on developing or strengthening the competences within the employee in question's professional fields. This type of education can consist of international IT security courses such as the certification courses CISSP, SANS .NET and GSNA, PCI training carried out by VISA in London, the security conferences BlackHat and Shmoocon or training in the use of test tools such as WebInspect, AppScan, Foundstone and Canvas. General courses of study such as project management or presentation techniques may also be included. |
|
| |
Internal training As a member of Scandinavia's biggest group of IT security testers you have access to daily sparring with some of Denmark's most knowledgeable and experienced IT security professionals. In addition to the continuous sharing of knowledge that arises from the diverse assignments we carry out for our customers and which takes place informally between our employees, we regularly organise internal training in which our own IT security consultants take turns to teach their colleagues in relevant subjects within their own area of core competence. Alternatively, we call on external IT security experts from Denmark or abroad to provide teaching in areas in which they have particular competence. |
|
| |
Other requests for education and training Those employees who wish to boost their qualifications over and above the activities agreed in the education and training plan can have the costs covered of relevant IT security courses which they wish to follow outside their normal working hours. FortConsult will refund, for example, course fees, materials and any travel and accommodation costs. |
|
| |
New employees All new employees undergo a comprehensive introductory programme in which FortConsult's key personnel outline the enterprise's primary functions, services, values, working processes, methodologies and tools, and in which the new employees acquire further detailed knowledge about their own job function from their closest colleagues. |
|
| |
Employees who have lots to learn For new employees who have a passion for IT security, but who are lacking adequate experience, we have developed a long-term training programme which they have to follow before being allowed to deal with customers on their own. This training programme consists of a theoretical part in which FortConsult's experienced IT security consultants review theories and working methods, and a more practical element in which the new employee follows one or more experienced IT security consultants in their daily work. |
| |
| Our values |
| At FortConsult we work in accordance with three fundamental values which are incorporated into our working methods and the way in which we interact with each other. In overall terms, we focus on collaboration on an equal footing so that we are able to provide the best possible results and highest possible service levels to our customers. The way in which we achieve this is by talking directly to each other and to our customers so that they are kept fully informed and we at FortConsult all know where we stand. |
|
| |
| You can read more about our values in the box on the left on this page. |
| |
| Family-friendly employer |
| We endeavour to be a highly flexible and family-friendly employer. A large percentage of our employees have small children and there is therefore a great deal of freedom that allows these employees to work when and where they wish. We have flex-hours within the period 8.00-18.00 and there is also plenty of scope to work from home. |
|
| |
| Even though we are busy, the majority of our employees go home on time almost every day, a practice which is fully endorsed by the management. |
| |
| International environment |
| We do not only recruit employees from Denmark. If you are a foreigner or have lived abroad for several years, this is not seen as a hindrance - in fact in many cases it is regarded as a bonus. Our current team of IT security consultants includes one employee of American descent, one of Dutch and one of South African origin, as well as two Swedes who live in Malmo. All our employees - including those with a foreign background - understand Danish, and everyone speaks and writes fluent English. |
|
| |
| For those employees who wish to travel, there is plenty of opportunity to solve tasks for our Danish customers who have branches abroad or for our growing group of international customers, who are primarily based within Europe's borders. |
| |
| Average age of 35 |
| FortConsult's employees have an average age of 35. There is a small group of younger employees which will increase in size as we recruit new staff, who will then undergo our comprehensive training programme before they are able to function independently as security consultants. |
| |
| Premises |
| Our premises are light and attractive with new windows, desks that can be raised and lowered and ergonomically designed chairs. We are located centrally in Copenhagen NW and therefore have short journey times to and from the majority of our customers in central Copenhagen. |
| |
| Salary |
| FortConsult offers an attractive pay package that reflects the current market level and which is regulated every year in accordance with each employee's individual performance. |
|
| |
| In the event that overtime is necessary in order to complete an assignment for a customer, overtime will be paid. |
|
| |
| In addition, all employees receive an attractive pension plan and healthcare scheme, which includes free treatment at private hospitals in the event of illness, preventive visits to a chiropractor, life insurance and occupational injury insurance. |
