FortConsult is the first independent security assessor in Scandinavia to obtain certification from VISA and MasterCard to perform security scans and security audits of business enterprises′ IT systems. FortConsult′s security scan, StaySolid™, was certified in November 2004 at the request of PBS, which was already one of our customers. In August 2005 this was followed by the certification of FortConsult′s security audit, StaySafe™. FortConsult has certified more than 60 percent of all Scandinavian companies listed as compliant on VISA′s web-site.   Exams passed Certification means that FortConsult has received the seal of approval from the PCI Security Council on behalf of VISA and MasterCard following a careful appraisal of our financial situation, the qualifications and competencies of our employees - and last, but not least, our working procedures, which are the basis on which security scans and security audits are carried out. We have also passed various theoretical and practical tests that conclusively document the fact that our services live up to the required standard.   Stricter requirements from credit card companies It is a requirement from VISA and MasterCard that online stores and business enterprises that process credit card transactions are security-approved in accordance with the credit card companies′ so-called PCI certification (PCI stands for Payment Card Industry). This means that enterprises of a certain size must have a PCI security audit carried out once a year and a security scan carried out once a quarter - in both cases by a qualified independent security assessor.   Security approval to PBS and DIBS PBS - the largest Scandinavian acquirer - states the following with regard to the company′s business relationship with FortConsult: "We chose FortConsult to carry out a security audit in accordance with the PCI standard because they had been highly recommended. These recommendations also proved to hold good - FortConsult were very capable and knowledgeable within the relatively new PCI field. high very satisfied with the result, and the same goes for VISA.
