During recent years FortConsult has accumulated a core competence in the testing and securing of wireless networks as more and more Danish business enterprises have implemented or extended their wireless network. As a result hereof, one of FortConsult's security experts has been chosen to provide training in wireless security at SANS Institute in autumn 2008.   As part of FortConsult's focus on new areas of technology - one of which is wireless security - the Danish security enterprise is ensuring that it continuously provides training for its security consultants in the latest technologies, including how best to secure said technologies. This desire to be at the forefront of development has recently resulted in Warren Platt, who works as a security consultant at FortConsult, being awarded GIAC certification in wireless security with a score of more than 85 percent.   Chosen by SANS Institute Warren Platt has been chosen by SANS Institute to be a mentor and instructor on their security courses on wireless security which will be held in Denmark in autumn 2008. Warren was chosen on the basis of his remarkable GIAC score. Warren has more than 7 years' experience and expertise in IT security and is used to working with IT security at many levels.   Course in wireless security The course starts on Thursday 18 September and will be held over a period of ten weeks in sessions lasting two hours at a time. All companies that have a wireless network will be able to benefit from sending an IT representative to attend the course. The course participants will learn to work with different audit tools which in different ways will be able to identify weaknesses in a wireless network - e.g. Kismet and Aircrack.
